West Dorking Day Nursery is located in a beautiful listed building, which is set in the hospital grounds. Children are able to attend the nursery 51 weeks a year; we are open Monday to Friday from 7.30am-6.30pm. Half day sessions are 7.30am-1pm and 1pm-6.30pm. 7.30am-8.00am drop-offs and 6.00pm-6.30pm pick-ups are subject to availability.

The nursery accommodates children from 3 months – 5 years. The nursery has bright homely rooms, with availability to provide a relaxing area for sleep times.

We have two garden areas: one has a wooden climbing apparatus for the children to learn through physical play, whilst the other garden is grassed and has soft tarmac to enable the children to use wheeled toys and play parachute and ball games. We also bring the nursery room outside. This area is also used for the children to grow plants and vegetables, season permitting.

At West Dorking Day Nursery, the children learn through play and take part in adult- and child-lead activities. Our team of qualified and experienced staff plans a wide range of developmental and fun activities on a daily basis, and the children have the opportunity to go on local outings into town and become familiar with the community.

We offer a gentle settling in process and monitor the children every step of the way. We have a dedicated room for parents to use, in particular when settling in their babies and children.

We hold parents’ information evenings which are held by our Early Years Professional (EYPS) Preschool Leader. Regular events are held in the nursery, including coffee mornings for parents on maternity leave and new parents starting the nursery.

All our meals are cooked on the premises using fresh ingredients. We are able to cater for all dietary requirements and we have recently had our annual Food and Hygiene inspection which we passed to a high standard.

We also offer a new Shopper's Crèche facility, open Monday and Friday 9.00am-5.00pm, no need to register!

Stay and Play sessions take place on the last Wednesday of every month between 9.30am-11.00am. This is an opportunity for you and your child to be involved with their age group activities and get a feel for our thriving nursery environment. Next Date: Wednesday 29th September.
