Hill Park Day Nursery is a bright and spacious nursery, welcoming children from 3 months to 5 years in a homely environment. Staff and children from a variety of backgrounds create a truly multicultural environment. Close to the A41 and the M1, and also the tube and mainline stations, Hill Park is ideally located.
Inside, we have three spacious, brightly decorated rooms, with continuous access to a range of resources and equipment. Our experienced and friendly staff are fully qualified or training towards a childcare qualification, including caring for children with special needs. All staff are trained in food hygiene, first aid and Makaton sign language. Our carefully planned activities are based on individual children’s interests and development stages. Good communication with parents is a priority, so you will always feel fully involved in your child’s life at nursery.
Our Baby Unit accommodates up to 21 children aged 3 months to 2 years. With a milk kitchen and sleep area within the room we ensure each babies’ individual routine is followed to the best of our ability. The children have access to various toys and resources, including a black and white sensory area, a book corner, and interest tables, along with planned activities designed to enhance their growth and development.
Caring for children aged 2 to 2 and a half years, our Nursery Room can accommodate 8 children. The children have access to a wide variety of sensory, creative and physical activities designed to enhance their individual development stages. The staff plan stimulating activities based on each individual child’s interest. The children are encouraged to develop their independence by self selecting activities of interest to them.
Our Foundation Stage Room is divided into different areas, including a creative area, construction area, and book corner. Children from 2 and a half to 5 years are encouraged to select activities and resources of interest to them. Our wide variety of adult led activities ensure children have all the necessary skills required prior to starting school with emphasis placed on personal, social and emotional development, and communication, language and literacy skills.
Our nursery also offer School Days which is where you have the option for us to care for your children in any of our rooms for the length of the school day, from 9.00am till 3.30pm. This enables you to match up your childcare with other children you may have attending full-time school.
Fresh, nutritional meals are prepared onsite following Asquith’s recipes. We also offer a range of Kosher dishes made to our healthy recipes by a local Kosher food supplier in a Kosher kitchen. We follow strict guidelines to ensure the food is kept Kosher until the child has eaten it. Children are encouraged to develop their independence at meal times by self serving their own meals. Staff eat with the children at each meal time to demonstrate table manners and social skills.
Our recently refurbished garden offers children plenty of opportunities for stimulation and exploration with a variety of resources including a climbing frame, a play house, and a planting area. Children under 2 have a separate soft-surface area where they can crawl and play safely. In addition, we enjoy making use of the local library and park.
