Balham Day Nursery is a safe, loving and stimulating environment in which your child can benefit from the highest quality childcare. The nursery can cater for 58 children aged between 3 months and 5 years. We offer convenience for working parents, as we are located within 10 minutes walk of both Balham and Streatham railway stations.
Inside, the children are welcomed into three bright, spacious and airy rooms, where our qualified and experienced staff team of 18 organise a wide variety of stimulating activities appropriate for each age group. Continuous provision and free-flow allows children to access all areas and follow their own interests.
Our Baby Room caters for up to 15 babies aged 3 months to 18 months old. In partnership with the parents, we ensure all babies’ routines are met to the best of our ability. The babies have their own dedicated sleep area within the Baby Room.
Our Toddler Room is divided into three areas; one area includes creative and sensory play, another area contains a quiet corner, while the main area is where the children can develop their communication and literacy skills. The Toddler Room can cater for 19 children aged 18 months to 2 and a half years old.
Our Pre-School Room is colourful and attractive, with displays of the children’s work. We can cater for 24 children aged 2 years to 5 years old. The children have the opportunity to experience various resources such as sand and water trays, a construction area, and a book corner.
Outside, there are plenty of opportunities for exploration and fun. We offer your child a benefit unusual for London: we have two spacious play areas where children can play safely with a variety of equipment and join in with the planting of seeds as well as a playground with a climbing frame on a soft surface. Babies have a designated grassed area.
We prepare fresh, nutritional meals onsite from Asquith’s renowned recipes. We also cater for any dietary requirements and preferences.
