Cardiff Day Nursery is bright and airy, based in the David Lloyd Fitness Club and is open from 7.30am to 6.00pm. The nursery welcomes children as young as 8 weeks up to 4 years 11 months, whom are cared for by our team of 24 qualified, experienced and enthusiastic staff team.

This nursery offers you convenience as it is located near the city centre on the main road into Cardiff Town Centre and just off Junction 32 on the M4. We also offer an integrated crèche facility which has the capacity for 10 children for David Lloyd Club members, open throughout the week. We have dedicated car parking spaces within the David Lloyd Club car park.

Inside, you will find four spacious rooms decorated with colourful displays. The government framework for learning, development and care - The Early Years Foundation Stage has been implemented throughout the nursery to ensure the best possible learning and development for all our children. Each room is well-equipped with age-appropriate toys and resources such as messy play, sand and water, construction and role play. Children have access to continuous learning provision both indoors and outdoors.

Our Baby Room provides a ‘home from home’ environment for our babies. We can accommodate up to 9 babies. In partnership with parent, each babies' own routine is followed to the best of our ability.

Our Toddler Room is bright and exciting and can accommodate 12 children. A wide variety of toys, resources and planned activities enhance children’s walking and balancing, language, creative and emotional development.

Our Nursery Room provides a stimulating environment for up to 14 children. The children have the opportunity to develop their learning and development skills through a combination of planned activities, play, and first hand experiences.

Our Pre-School Room can accommodate up to 18 children. The room is colourful and attractive, with displays of children’s work. The room is open plan, set across 2 rooms with various resources such as sand and water trays, book corner, construction area, and interest tables. Our planned activities offer children communication, language and literacy skills required prior to starting school.

The garden offers plenty of opportunities for fresh air and physical activities. Children of all ages can play safely in the garden with a variety of equipment. There is also the opportunity to use some of David Lloyd facilities, including their Dance Studios. Babies and the under 2’s have their own enclosed carpeted area.

Our staff team aim to create an environmentally-friendly nursery by planning activities that encourage children to respect the environment in which they live. Not only is this about living green but it is about a safe and healthy environment for our children.
